shakespeareNet

"Who's Shakespeare?" you ask. Why, the greatest playwright of all time! There are many people out there in the world, some students (especially the students), who couldn't care less about Shakespeare. I believe this dislike towards the Bard comes from the fact that his writings are difficult to understand.

That's where shakespeareNet steps in! I've broken down the plays into two categories: the Players and the Breakdowns. To begin learning, do the following:

  1. Click the plays link.
  2. Click a link to a play.
  3. Click players, brainstorm, or breakdowns.

The players page explains all of the main characters in the play you selected. The breakdown page explains what happens in each Act. Essay topics are located in the brainstorm sections. In addtion to the above, you will also find a few historical facts, a personal bio, and a guestbook for you to sign at your leisure. If you have a link you would like to share, send it to me.

Hopefully shakespeareNet will be able to help you understand Shakespeare a little better. By understanding the play, you are well on your way to unlocking the joys of reading Shakespeare!
